If the Shoe Fits. . .

Background Info: Project 6
Media: Carved linoleum block, printed onto paper
Inspiration: I was inspired by some shoes I saw in a catalog
Reflection: I like the way it turned out because of the contrasting colors
Artist Bio of Andy Warhol: He was born on August 6, 1928 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. When he was in high school, he took art classes at the Carnegie Museum. In 1949, he graduated from the Carnegie Institute of Technology with a major in pictoral design. When he was in college, he discovered the blotted line technique, and earned a reputation in the '50s for using this technique to make advertisements. He started pop art in the 1960s. On July 3, 1968, Warhol was shot in the chest. After he was pronounced clinically dead, the doctor managed to get his heart working again, although it took a long time for him to recover. He passed away on February 21, 1987 for unknown reasons.

~Project: Project 3-Style
~Media: Pencil and color pencil on paper
~Inspiration: My love of Disney movies

Reflection:
I think the best part of this project is that it turned out so different than what I had originally planned. If I could redo the project, I would make the girl more Disney-like in her features.

Background Info:
~Project: Project 2-Color Project (monochromatic color scheme)
~Media: Oil pastels on paper
~Inspiration: I made a Pinterest board for this project, and I got inspiration for the color scheme from a pin, and I changed it a little to make it my own

Reflection:
I think the best part of this project was the way the oil pastels blended together. It's hard to tell from looking at the picture, but they did blend well together. I was worried they wouldn't, but I'm glad it turned out the way it did

"Objects That Define Me"

Background Info:
~Project: Project 1, Part 2-"Objects That Define Me"
~Media: Pencil on paper
~I chose this option because I love to play the piano and I would certainly classify it as an object that defines me, and I wanted to express that in an artistic way.

These are only my sketches. Unfortunately, my final piece didn't turn out as good as I wanted it to :(

"Get Real"

Background Info:
~Project: Project 1- "Get Real"
~Media: Pencil on paper
~Inspiration: To be honest, I didn't really have an 'inspiration' for this project. At first, I couldn't think of what to draw, then I saw this basket on my table and thought, "why not?"

Reflection:
If I were to do this project over again, I would definitely take a more creative approach and think outside the box a little more. If I somehow wound up drawing pencils again, I would try to make them more realistic.
